Pendleton Wool Supra Skytop III by the Shoe Surgeon X Factory 413

Decon-recon customizer The Shoe Surgeon based in Santa Rosa, California is probably the first to break ice the when it comes to customizing the new Supra Skytop III skate shoe. These were created as part of the festivities for the 3rd Skytop’s release party at Factory 413 in Los Angeles earlier this month.  A complete transformation takes these from a modern skate shoe to a pair of classic western inspired footwear. A new Vibram boot sole replaced the rubber cup sole to start. Next the silhouette of the Skytop was kept true but new materials replaced all pieces starting with leather in place of the molded side TPR cage and heel tabs and lining the edge of the entire upper. The most unique look is from the front panels made from a colorful vintage Pendleton wool. Looking closely you can see the tongues and back heel ovals made from cow hide bring the western look full circle. The ankle area is a rich brown suede and boot eyelets are pulled together by some nice leather laces. But the finer details really finish these off as laser engraving of the 413, Supra, and Shoe Surgeon logos are imprinted on the leather in different areas.

These are likely a going to stay a 1 of 1 design but you if want your own unique reconstructed hand made shoe visit TheShoeSurgeon.com
