Michael Jordan 1997 NBA Finals Flu Game Air Jordan XII Custom by Moyo

Instantly any true Michael Jordan fan knows the game where this image of Scottie Pippen is seen helping his Airness off the Utah Jazz court during the last few seconds of game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals. That game is simply known as “The Flu Game”. After waking up sick the day before the game, Jordan and was told by trainers he’d probably not be able to play the next day. What happened? Jordan played through his sickness for a final stat line of 38 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 1 block in a two point win over the Jazz. The Chicago Bulls were then one victory away from the ’97 Finals win.

Almost 15 years after “The Flu Game” shoe customizer Moyo has recreated that iconic image of MJ and Pippen the same style pair of the black and red Air Jordan XII that MJ wore during that overcoming performance. For the full concept Moyo did not use one of the retro XII from 2003 or 2009 but an original pair from 1997. Seen in the photos below the scene was began with a white base layer and then a penciled in outline of the image. With some very detailed painting up next the finished result is a nearly realist look with the main subject, MJ of course, color popped against a black and white Pippen background. These are likely a 1 of 1 but checkout the info below to commission Moyo on your own custom request.
