Is it wrong to make a tribute to Michael Jackson? No not at all. Who is anyone to say respecting someone who has lost their life is wrong? Again no one. But what did I say about 2009 in the custom sneaker world a little while ago? Michael Jackson themed custom shoes will be this years Barack Obama themed custom shoes. Word is SBTG is even going to release a “Thriller” themed custom coming out September 4th. But most recently Dr. Medzoo released his take on the MJ custom. AND I do not think this will be topped….so please use some creativity or stop making Michael Jackson customs.
Dr. Medzoo out of Paris first of all used an extremely classy base shoe: the Supreme Nike Blazer SB in white with the Gucci-esq heel tabs, snakeskin Swooshes, and quilted buttery leather. Second he took an even more classy image of young MJ. Third he used a clean font, simple black on white colorway and what looks to be a simple but detailed pattern on the medial sides. So lastly, if you think you can top this let PaintorThread see. Take that as a challenge or a plead to not make an MJ custom.
