Air Jordan 1 “Brooklyn Zoo” by PMK Customs

After a name change the guys at Pimp My Kicks are now going by PMK Customs: Perfectly Made Kicks. A few weeks ago the Air Jordan III got the exotic leather decon-recon treatment from emmanueLabor but this time PMK took the Jordan I to the workbench in this Brookly Zoo themed design.

Starting with a full pair and removing the entire upper and using only the sole this becomes a full decon-recon custom. The black red and gray design shows a different texture on each panel. That makes the crazy part of 9 animals skins used: elephant, ostrich, python, boa, crocodile, lizard, alligator, suede and sting ray. It is unsure if it is all faux but surely the elephant is just a normal textured leather at most along with the sting ray As you can see in the comments below AJ from PMK all the materials are real animal skin. Good luck getting a pair of these though as only 10 will be released to the public at a special event at UNKNWN in Miami on November 7th.

Actually all of the exotic skins are authentic. Real west African Elephant skin was used and sting ray… Textured leathers are not featured in this shoe at all. 9 different exotic skins are featured in this beastly pair of Jordan 1′s. Thanks for the post.

Oh and technically the BROOKLYN ZOO AJ1 debuted before the snake skin 3′s. They debuted OCT 1 in GQ mag. Thanks for the correction.
